SHAPTON M15 Ceramic Whetstone Series – 15 mm Sharpening Stone with Wooden Base
The SHAPTON M15 Ceramic Whetstone Series is a long-established Japanese sharpening stone line featuring 15 mm thick ceramic stones mounted on a stable wooden base.
Made with SHAPTON’s advanced ceramic technology, M15 stones provide excellent sharpening performance, high cutting efficiency, and low wear characteristics. The dense stone structure requires less preparation compared with traditional soaking-type whetstones.
The M15 Series offers a wide range of grit options from coarse sharpening to fine finishing, including #180, #1000, #1500, #2000, #5000, and #12000. Each grit is designed for different sharpening needs, from edge repair and sharpening to refined finishing.
For most grits, the stone can be used with a small amount of water on the surface before sharpening (splash-and-go style). Higher finishing grits may require brief soaking before use, depending on the stone type.
The wooden base provides stable support during sharpening, making the M15 Series suitable for both professional users and serious knife enthusiasts.
